This calculator is designed to allow you to have a good estimate of the curtain cleaning cost.
Prices to clean curtains are determined by 3 things:
1) Types of fabric used in the curtains. Check this out here
2) Construction of the curtains.
3) Size (Height and width) of the curtain

Please note that the table does not include any courier or other external costs.

It does not include any repair costs nor costs such as removing cat hair.

What is a drop?

A curtain can have any number of panels or can be of continuous material.

Where curtains are constructed of panels of fabric sewn together as shown in the diagram below each panel is called a ‘drop.’ which is normally 1.4 mts across the bottom.

To count the drops, check the back of the curtain for seams and count the total number of panels. Some curtains have quarter, half, or 3 quarter panels. Add them all together for each height of curtain.

Where the curtains have no discernible vertical joins. i. e. continuous fabric

Measure the width of the curtain across the bottom hem and divide by 1400mm. (1.4 M).

When your curtains arrive at Curtain Clean they are assessed for sizes, materials etc. and we look for anything that may need fixing or that may need doing before we clean them.

e.g. have they got cat/dog hair on them, do the hooks need replacing or they need some special treatment to clean the marks off and so on. Some things will incur extra charges.

If you have asked for an estimate we will send that to you before we start to clean and requires you to agree to proceed with the cleaning.

We cannot give you a confirmed price before we see the curtains because of the variable factors.
